Arma 3 video shows launch content

Monday, 12th August 2013 04:00 GMT By Brenna Hillier

Bohemia Interactive livestreamed an hour of Arma 3 footage this weekend, showing content not found in the beta which will be available in the full game.

This is quite an interesting subject as the military shooter is currently in multiplayer beta, and as the single-player campaign won’t release until after launch, as free DLC, some players have been wondering what the launch will offer beyond the test.

The answer is: 12 showcases and ten challenges. Showcases group content together by type and details it, which is vital intel for newbies, while challenges offer various targets for players to achieve, and act soemthing like tutorials.

Arma 3′s release date has been set for September. You can buy into the beta on Steam for $45 or regional equivalent. Check out a recording of the stream below.

Thanks, PCGamesN.

How much would a pc cost to run this game like this?

@SlayerGT well I have a fairly old PC with a Core i5 750, Asus Maximus III extreme, 8GB memorey and an XFX Radeon 5850 which runs the game (beta) perfectly fine at high quality setting. I think you can build something similar even better for cheap.

MMO-Champion has a monthly thing in which they offer various setups and upgrade options, as it happens they have uploaded one today. Give it a look. :)

The irony is that ArmA 3 runs a lot better than ArmA 2.

It only really seems to push it when you go into a chopper, but then there’s this weird lag where it seems like the world is having trouble generating fast enough. You get this little skipping, which isn’t graphics lag, it’s just the game momentarily stopping and trying to sync.

I really hope they figure it out. It’s not huge, but it sucks because the rest of the game is so smooth.
