Bethesda tease evokes a Wolfenstein vibe

Nobody knows what Bethesda is teasing with these mysterious images, but we're getting short odds on "Wolfenstein".

Bethesda's Twitter account posted a collage of three teaser images, and two full teaser images were posted on Gamespot, titled y1960 and z1960. All are available in the gallery below.

The smart money is on a new idTech 5 game from MachineGames, a Swedish developer founded by former members of Starbreeze in 2009 and acquired by Bethesda's parent company Zenimax in 2010.

MachineGames, otherwise known as Zenimax Sweden, is believed to be working on something called Project Tungsten, which is heavily tipped to be a new Wolfenstein game; as you no doubt remember, Zenimax also owns iD Software, which created the franchise.

Every time Bethesda teases an announce the fanboy come out screaming for Fallout 4, but a tweet from the publisher confirms that the tease is not related to anything in the works at Bethesda Game Studios.

Bethesda promised to start making more noise about its publishing activities this year; we've already heard about Tango Gameworks' The Evil Within and are awaiting word of Prey 2, Doom 4 and whatever Battlecry Studios is working on.
