StarCraft 2: Heart of the Swarm sold through 1.1 million units in just two days
StarCraft 2: Heart of the Swarm has sold through 1.1 million units in just two days of availability, Blizzard has announced.
The figure combines both digital and physical sales.
“We want to thank the global StarCraft community for the incredible passion and support they’ve shown for Heart of the Swarm,” said CEO Mike Morhaime. “In addition to a brand-new single-player campaign, we added a ton of enhancements with this expansion to make StarCraft 2 even more fun to play, and more exciting to watch.
“We’re pleased to see gamers and eSports fans around the world enjoying Heart of the Swarm.”
Last weekend, more than 1.1 million viewers tuned in to see the HotS tournament at the MLG Winter Championship in Dallas, Texas.
Heart of the Swarm reached a peak concurrent viewership of more than 157,000 viewers, as reported by Twitch.

If someone is interested in buying Heart of the Swarm, i just bought it yesterday in a UK online shop digital version for only 23,99£ (thats so cheap, not even half the price i would have to pay here in Germany).

I wish vg247.com would still do those best price articles for new big releases on PC/Consoles (you guys stopped doing that after 3-4 games).

What worries me, is that site doesn’t say where they obtain their HotS CD-Keys. And since Blizzard are the only ones selling their games digitally, i have my reservations about buying Blizzard games digitally from anywhere but Blizzard.

It is a normal Europe version, my battle.net account says standard version and region:global.
You can buy what you want, it is just the cheapest version i could find without buying a russian cd key (which blizzard dosnt allow for us in europe, they ban them).

Blizzard isn’t the only one selling CD keys, plenty of (big and reputable) shops here in the Nordic countries sell Blizzard games as download versions.
Simplygames.com sometimes has really good and cheap offers, but they are probably pretty limited-time offers.

And now you’re telling me Blizzard is dead? Open your eyes trolls.
Guess what. When Blue revealed D3 expansion next year, this record will be shattered too.
