GRID selling at £2.69 on Xbox Live Games on Demand

Codemaster’s rather brilliant racing sim GRID is selling for just £2.69 on Xbox Live’s ‘Games on Demand’ marketplace. We’re not kidding, seriously.

The game was listed in Microsoft’s ‘Games on Demand’ sale sheet, sent to VG247 this afternoon, and Codemasters has just announced the deal on Twitter.

You can buy it here. Let us know if you do.

2.69 GBP = 3.97 AUD. But wait, what’s that? Oh, it’s available for $19.95 in Australia.

Hey Microsoft, can you at least wear a condom? I’d like to be safe before you screw me!

Is this Microsofts first equivalent to a Steam Sale?

@3 Rather to counter the huge sales on PSN lately. But MS needs to do better than putting an 4 years old game on sale, while PSN users gets Darksiders II for €9.99 and Sleeping Dogs for free on PS+.

@Night Hunter – no sir/ma’am. Microsoft have had a few decent sales in the past. Most recent one being over the Christmas period, though many can argue that it was cheaper elsewhere.

I just noticed a new ripoff on Games on Demand. I tried to buy Dirt 2 ($4.99) with MS points (400 for $4.99). The total changes from $4.99 to 440 points. I checked the price of the MS currency, and it’s still the same it’s always been. So there’s a 10% premium getting tacked on to the sale price. This is brand spanking new. I’ve used points many times in the past without getting buggered like this. Just a heads up. It’s easy to miss. (I ended up paying for the game directly with a credit card, and it came to $4.99, as it should be).
