Half-Life 2 mod takes Oculus Rift to Ravenholm
Half-Life 2 was modded to support VR tracking headset Oculus Rift a while ago – check out the first gameplay video here – but now Oculus developer Nathan Andrews has got the tech working on what many to believe to be the game’s finest hour, the city of Ravenholm.
PCGamesN reports that Andrews got the Ravenholm section of Half-Life 2 working with Oculus Rift and a Top Shot Elite gun, which is bundled with Activision’s game Cabela’s Dangerous Hunts.
Now, check out Ravenholm, Oculus Rift style. Let us know what you think:
Last week we reported on the Oculus-powered Project Holodeck, a control method that uses your entire body. It’s a bit ‘Star Trek’. Check it out in action here.

Well I for one hated Ravenholm and I hope they will never put something like that into Half Life again. If I want to play a horror game, I’ll play a horror game, thank you very much. I’m not big on playing a horror part of an otherwise regular shooter just to see how the story progresses. -_-
