New Sonic to be revealed in February – rumour

Today’s latest on dit is that Sega is planning to reveal a new Sonic game next month, for every platform under the sun including next-generation hardware. Rumour has it the game has been in the works since before Sonic Generations and includes 20 three-act stages, multiple playable characters, and both 2D and 3D playable sections. February 2 is Hedgehog Day, so expect a tease or reveal then should this prove true.
