Ubisoft opens Middle Eastern studio, will focus on online products

Ubisoft Abu Dhabi is the latest addition to the company's growing family of studios. The business has confirmed that the studio's key function will be to create online titles "for everyone" and more. Get the details after the break.

Ubisoft's official site for the studio features an introductory video that discusses the need to tap into the Middle Eastern market, and lays out Ubisoft Abu Dhabi's goal of creating quality online content.

The page also includes a careers section full of roles at the new studio. According to the job listings, the developer has opened with 25 staff, but hopes to expand to 100 employees in the next 3-5 years.

One posting reads, “Ubisoft Abu Dhabi studio has committed to Ubisoft’s global goal to strive for excellence, its focus is to develop worldwide leading online games as well as enter the online MENA market; all in one.”

No IP has been confirmed in development at the studio, but we'll update as soon as it announces its first project.
