Injustice: Gods Among Us DLC won't interrupt multiplayer for non-buyers

Injustice: Gods Among Us developer NetherRealm has revealed that the game will push DLC content to all formats and players - even if you don't buy it - so that you won't be excluded from multiplayer matches if you don't buy it.

Typically in fighting games, if you don't own a DLC character you can't even fight against them online. Injustice will remedy this issue by sending all extra character data to every format meaning no one is left out.

Speaking with Eurogamer, studio head Ed Boon explained, "In Mortal Kombat we had downloadable characters. We want to come up with a way to push all that information onto people's machines so if I buy some character that was available for download, you would have it on your machine and I would be able to fight against you online."

"We're coming up with a great automated system to make sure I can use my character against anybody and everything's compatible."

Injustice: Gods Among Us launches sometime in 2013.
