New Ty the Tasmanian Tiger game on the way

Independent Australia developer Krome Studios has announced a new Ty the Tasmanian Tiger game.

No word on platforms as yet, but Krome has promised to reveal more information soon.

The news was broken via a website relaunch, which seems to herald something of a revival for the developer.

Krome’s return has been welcomed by local industry figures, as the company’s 2010 downsizing was a serious blow to the local indie scene. In addition to Ty, Krome is also responsible for the Blade Kitten property.

Ty spawned three PS2 games, variously published by EA and Activision.

Thanks, Gamespot.

that is so SILLY!

How can you make a long dead sequel without people playing the originals in HD format?
only the fans of Ty will buy TY4, and what? how much copies would it sell? under 500k!

the only strategy they can use it to market the hell out of TY4, but seriously man.
Why would people who never played any of the Ty, would want to jump and buy Ty4?

Because we aren’t all book-cover judges?

Titles mean nothing to me. I try, and if I like, I buy.

Final fantasy sells to people who havent played previous numbered entries in the series.

Same with cod, fifa, tiger woods, nba, gran turismo, mario, etc, etc.
