First Deadpool trailer released, due 2013

At San Diego Comic Con, Marvel confirmed a 2013 release window for High Moon Studios’ take on Deadpool. Check out the first trailer through the break.

As you’ll see momentarily, neither Marvel nor High Moon seem to be taking the license very seriously – which is frankly refreshing – so be sure to check out the new content on the website, too. No platform information yet, unfortunately.

We’re waiting on a clean version of the trailer, but in the meantime, enjoy IGN’s offering.

No word on Hit Monkey; looks like that might just be a bit of marketing for Deadpool. Pity.

I am skeptically excited about this game. Deadpool is one of my favorite marvel characters I hope its at least Prototype fun. The trailer definitely has Deadpool down at least better than that horrid movie did.

Not familiar with DeadPool but this actually looks decent! Loving the style of it, graphics aren’t great but hopefully the game plays well.

Really not digging the normal Deadpool voice (The text box ones are spot on). Hopefully the game is fun and true to the comics because goddamit, Deadpool deserves some proper standalone title after the heinous things done to him in Wolverine movie (“Suck it Wolverine”, indeed).

What I don’t understand is, the New Transformers game looks pretty good (a bit bleak maybe), but this game looks like shit (love the humour though). Both games are from the same studio, that doesn’t make sense …

Different engines, more content in game meaning less work put into the quality of the assets because of work load, less budget. There is a lot of variables.

graphics sucking probably means it’s a 60fps game

Or a 30fps game with bad graphics because Activision just gave them a small budget to make a hasty sequel in order to keep the rights to the character.

Like the Spiderman movie and Sony then.

I’ll be happy when Marvel gets all the missing IP it owns back and actually begins to put quality control on to them. Having games being around the same standard as the recent Marvel Studios pictures would be something rather nice.

@9: you mean like the Thor, Captain America and Iron Man games?

Sega farmed those out. Nothing all that much to do with Marvel.

Also the DS Thor game is one of the best on the system. So in a way, yes exactly like that.
