WoW server blade auction raises $330,000 for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital

Blizzard has announced its charity auction of retired World of Warcraft server blades has raised $330,000. The auction went live in October 2011, and featured a selection of blades which once housed WoW realms. All funds raised through the eBay auctions went to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Thanks, GI International.

Man, that is pretty awesome.

I haven’t played for years, but I wouldn’t mind paying a pretty penny for a piece of the ol’ Defias Brotherhood (EU).

I wish I had a hundred grand.

Oh wow, I just looked it up, and it seems like my old guildies are still on top:

A nice, feel-good story to see if there ever was one.

Top notch.
