Sleeping Dogs E3 trailer raises some eyebrows

There’s a torture scene in this Sleeping Dogs trailer, as well as several pretty brutal acts, so if you’re a bit squeamish this might be a good one to skip over.

There’s been a lot of chatter about the violence shown in E3 demos and trailers this year; it looks like United Front has lived up to the trend. We’ll have to wait and see whether the undercover cop gangster story and cinematic influence justifies the copious red sauce.

Sleeping Dogs releases in August for PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

Yip, with Edo on this… Pre-ordered it when it was still True Crime, and when it came back as Sleeping Dogs. Very disappointed. Pre-order cancelled.

This sort of thing is truer to the genre, and distances SD from games like GTA. The narrative seems compelling, the action’s there in spades, and it looks as if there’s room to play how you want – what’s not to like? Probable launch buy, if I can find it without that UFC rubbish dlc.

Is it just me, or is the voiceacting just as bad as the facial animation?
