Star Wars 1313 announced on GTTV

LucasArts has unveiled its latest effort, Star Wars 1313 - a third-person action adventure with cover-based combat set on Coruscant.

LucasFilm is promising a "never-before-seen dark and mature world" and a "criminal conspiracy" story, all set in the "the most dangerous place in the Star Wars galaxy". The title refers to Level 1313, the criminal underground realm of Coruscant.

Players take on the role of an unnamed bounty hunter, and unusually, rely on "human skills and gadgets, rather than supernatural Force powers" to survive and take down targets - namely, an "arsenal of exotic weaponry".

"Star Wars 1313 dives into a part of the Star Wars mythos that we've always known existed, but never had a chance to visit. We are committed to bringing the best gameplay experience and visual fidelity to life and I truly believe the work we are showcasing at E3 will speak for itself," LucasArts president Paul Meegan said in a statement.

The game was debuted during GTTV's pre-E3 special but will be shown at the show itself. No details on platforms or release as yet.
