Star Wars 1313 announced on GTTV
LucasArts has unveiled its latest effort, Star Wars 1313 – a third-person action adventure with cover-based combat set on Coruscant.
LucasFilm is promising a “never-before-seen dark and mature world” and a “criminal conspiracy” story, all set in the “the most dangerous place in the Star Wars galaxy”. The title refers to Level 1313, the criminal underground realm of Coruscant.
Players take on the role of an unnamed bounty hunter, and unusually, rely on “human skills and gadgets, rather than supernatural Force powers” to survive and take down targets – namely, an “arsenal of exotic weaponry”.
“Star Wars 1313 dives into a part of the Star Wars mythos that we’ve always known existed, but never had a chance to visit. We are committed to bringing the best gameplay experience and visual fidelity to life and I truly believe the work we are showcasing at E3 will speak for itself,” LucasArts president Paul Meegan said in a statement.
The game was debuted during GTTV’s pre-E3 special but will be shown at the show itself. No details on platforms or release as yet.

damn.. I hoped for a Battlefront 3 or a new Jedi academy…
hopefully this unnamed bounty hunter will discover his force powers early in the game xD..

Don’t give up on this just yet. If it’s anything like Arkham City or a Splinter Cell (one of the good ones) this could be very awesome!

We are talking about LucasArts here Killer. They have only had one or two flashes of brilliance in the past ten years. Why they just couldnt maybe look at Republic Commando and extend that is beyond me since the majority thought that this was a good solid game – and it was.

@5 indeed. I think if they said ‘Republic Commando 2′ – there would be a hell of a lot more buzz surrounding it than something named after a bowl of cereal. Star Wars 1313 wtf……

Agreed with the general consensus that Republic Commando was the only Star Wars game not to have Knights or a republic that came out in the last ten years that wasn’t a total bucket of shit.
I’m surprised they don’t exploit the largely decent impression that the game left on people with a sequel – especially with the Clone Wars TV show doing excellent ratings recently.

Dissapointed that it isn’t battlefront 3 or a new jedi knight BUT this is still sounding like a better original game than shit fests like force unleashed is. Looking forward to hearing more…
