WB Games has announced Injustice: Gods Among Us, a new game in developmen at NetherRealm Studios.

It’s a new fighting game featuring DC Comics characters such as Batman, Harley Quinn, Solomon Grundy, Superman, The Flash, Wonder Woman and many others.

The game is set in a world where “the lines between good and evil are blurred,” and where players will experience heroes and villains “engaging in epic battles on a massive scale.”

“With Injustice: Gods Among Us, we are creating an all-new franchise with incredible battles set in the DC Comics Universe,” said Martin Tremblay, president, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment.

“NetherRealm Studios is the extremely talented team behind the latest Mortal Kombat hit and it is developing a game unlike any other in the fighting genre.”

The game is slated for release in 2013 on PS3, Wii U and Xbox 360.

I was hoping for MK10 from NetherRealm but at least it’s not another MK vs DC. Hopefully the gameplay is fun and focused.

Since it seems to be the thing to do, I wonder if the PS3 version will have any exclusive characters, like in Mortal Kombat or SF x T.

If ever there were a game where Cole would be appropriate…

@Clupula lol I can see that with Cole in there.

But I’m not digging their costumes for any of the heroes. They look a little bit too armored. While I can expect that for Batman, why does Superman need extra protection?

Good call. MK9 had Kratos on PS3 and now they don’t even have to worry about violence since it’s a T rated DC game.

I just hope they bring a surprise guest character and not the obvious choice (Cole).
