Rumour: iPhone 5 casing shots appear from factory line
9to5Mac is claiming to have gone live with the first shots of what appears to be the casing for iPhone 5, showing a more radical redesign than iPhone 4S.
The look for the new handset seems to show a metal unibody on both black and white models, similar to that found on recent Macbook models.
It’ll also come with a smaller dock connector, a repositioned headphone jack at the bottom of the phone akin to an iPod Touch and an opening between the camera and flash, suggesting a repositioning of the second mic.
The speaker grills have also been redesigned for the phone.
9to5Mac reckons iPhone 5 will launch in autumn alongside the release of iOS6.

Funny, as Tim Cook was promising even more secrecy from Apple last night, http://bit.ly/LFIO8d … they may be prototype parts but likely reflect something close to the final design.

Now watch as everyone replaces their barely year old phone with something marginally more powerful, with “new” features that have been common place in other phones for the past few years.
@2 iOS is a valid gaming platform. Deal with it.

I think most people have an issue with the fact that it’s the only mobile phone platform that gets coverage on this site. If they started including others, it wouldn’t look so out of place. And only covering one platform does make things appear biased.

@3 So is Android. Spot many Samsung, HTC etc articles much? There are also other valid gaming platforms that get virtually no mention.

There *has* been Android news on this site, at least with devices that focus on playing game. The iOS gaming scene is significantly more robust than the Androids regardless though, so your point is moot either way.
