UK charts: GRFS takes top spot, Dragon’s Dogma and DiRT Showdown make top five

Monday, 28th May 2012 09:38 GMT By Johnny Cullen

Ghost Recon: Future Soldier is the new UK number one, shunting last week’s top entry Max Payne 3 into second.

The shooter has the best first week sales than any other previous installment in the series, although UKIE reckons this is due to past releases being staggered.

New entries Dragon’s Dogma is third and DiRT Showdown is fourth. FIFA 12 rounds off the top five. Last week’s second place Diablo III falls down the pecking order into eighth.

Other new entries include Mario Tennis 3D at 11 and Doctor Who: The Eternity Clock for PS3 at 34.

Top ten for the week ending May 26 is below. Last week’s data is here.

  • 1 – Ghost Recon: Future Soldier
  • 2 – Max Payne 3
  • 3 – Dragon’s Dogma
  • 4 – DiRT Showdown
  • 5 – FIFA 12
  • 6 – Sniper Elite V2
  • 7 – Modern Warfare 3
  • 8 – Prototype 2
  • 9 – Diablo III
  • 10 – FIFA Street

Really happy to see Dragon’s Dogma in top 3. LOVE this game. Sure, it’s word isn’t as interesting as Skyrim but the combat and free / always changing class system with no real penalty during main run is awesome. Plus it does have some Demon’s Souls and Shadow of the Colossus bits (Albeit much weaker than those classics).

i’m suprised that Dragon’s Dogma is higher than DiRT. Maybe the lack of real Rally racing has killed the goodwill of the series?

Gymkhana has seriously killed that series for me, no need at all.
