Jesus Christ this game is dark.
Really if you give it a chance the story in this will kick you in the ass.
Its gorgeous, its responsive and it has an interesting mechanic (bullet-time in a bullet hell game how very droll).

Is it just me or is it as hard as Ikaruga? – Or at least getting there.

Its not quite as hard as something Cave produced, I would say its actually pretty fair. The bullet-time works really well though, it creates some proper close calls where you dodge out of the way of something that normally would have killed you right at the last second.
The only thing is that is runs out really really quickly.
Also if you stick it on normal and then follow the novice path its pretty lenient with letting you get firepower and time power refills.
I never had to continue till the third mission, I did get shot a hell of alot and only got an E rating on both of the previous two missions. So im rubbish.

It’s the other way around, Digital Reality developped the game, Grasshopper only added the visuals.
