New Ready at Dawn project set for “next-generation” console

Monday, 20th February 2012 11:00 GMT By Johnny Cullen

The next project from God of War PSP developer Ready at Dawn will be heading for a next-gen console, a new job listing has said.

RAD, who also worked on the Wii port of Okami, is working on a new IP based on a third-person action adventure, according to an ad.

“Are you ready to work on an exciting new AAA IP for a Next-Generation home console game system?” it reads.

“Ready At Dawn is working on a 3rd Person Action Adventure and is looking for talented, motivated and self-directed developers to join our team.”

It isn’t specified what console it’ll be for. The studio was on the hire for the new IP last year, but this is the first time the next-generation has been mentioned. It’s been said the project is heading down the Uncharted route.

Thanks, Gamerzines.

Wait a second. A freaking NEW IP? Also an AAA product? Also for the NEXT gen home consoles? AND from the people behind sublime PSP God of War games?
Can there be too much of a good thing?

I thought they were a small team. Looks like some big fish is investing in them real time. Maybe Sony or some other pub saw their potential. Good for them and best of luck to them.

They have been working for a while in a new Engine for Next-Gen. At least, that´s what I remember they said.

Bad new they won´t work over Vita… But you never know… Sony should have bought this guys, even being a second party, they should.

What they refer to as “next Gen” could be the PS Vita. That is technically a next generation system for the handheld market.
