Nintendo to fix glitched Skyward Sword saves

Nintendo of Japan has proposed a solution for players caught out by The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword's main quest-breaking bug.

Although the company has not provided a timeframe, Andriasang reports Nintendo will issue fixes for players who have experienced the bug.

In an unusual move for Nintendo, a downloadable solution will be offered, and those without Internet access can send in their SD card or Wii to have the fix applied.

Details of both these plans will be announced at a later date; hopefully Nintendo's other territorial arms will issue similar offers.

The bug, which Nintendo acknowledged last week, occurs if players complete certain quests in a particular order and speak to a specific NPC in the process. Once triggered, players will not be able to progress and will have to start the game again.
