Touch My Katamari originally planned for PlayStation 3

New details have surfaced on Vita launch title Touch My Katamari.

Andriasang reports Touch My Katamari began as a PlayStation 3 prototype.

Vita specific functions like the touchscreen controls were added later, but motion controls weren't implemented due to time constraints.

The game will feature 20 songs, which will change as your Katamari grows, which Namco mysteriously attributes to the Vita's hardware.

A soundtrack album for the series will release in Japan on December 21, too.

Touch My katamri is due alongside the Vita in february. You can see a new trailer here, or check out some screens.
