Silent Hill: Book of Memories screens are suitably horrifying

IGN has posted a new batch of screenshots for Silent Hill: Book of Memories. The Vita exclusive is played from an almost isometric, quasi top down perspective, and is the first in the series to include multiplayer. This is the first we’ve seen of it outside of Konami’s E3 events and gamescom. Book of Memories is expected in early 2012.

“quasi top down perspective, and is the first in the series to include multiplayer.”

Uggghhhh, this sentence hurts… But not nearly as bad as those screenshots do. I am really hoping Downpour is good, if not, my favorite “Series” (Silent Hill 1 and 2 really) is dead.

Its on the PSP V so its not going to have the best graphics. I like the idea of them trying new things. As games cost more there will be an absolute need for the social aspect and this game is trying that. We have until March until Downpour but from what I have played at the convention, I enjoyed it though I couldn’t really enjoy it being in an environment that is loud and full of people but I liked what I saw.

They should change the title already. Since The Room Silent Hill is not Silent Hill anymore. Please let the sacred name rest in peace.
