Batman: Arkham City plagued by DLC code SNAFU

Purchasers are reporting multiple issues pertaining to downloadable content bundled with Batman: Arkham City.

Reports on the game’s official forums range from receiving blank code slips for the Catwoman first-purchase bonus; scoring multiple copies of the same code but missing others; and activation failure of Robin DLC codes.

A tweet from the Arkham City account promises an update on the Catwoman situation soon, while the Robin DLC problems have reportedly been resolved on Microsoft and Sony’s end.

Warner Bros. has also noted that some Collector’s Edition feature a DVD insead of a Blu Ray copy of Gotham Knight, or are missing the collector’s cards.

Batman: Arkham City is out now in Australia and the US for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, with the UK launch on Friday. A PC version has been delayed to November worldwide.

Thanks, Joystiq, Kotaku.

Good. I’m glad all this pointless shite has bitten WB on the ass. It would be fucking karma if they had to pull a Ubisoft and give everyone the same pre-order rip-offs for nothing because of this.

Makes you want to wait for the pirated version which will have all of the DLC and no codes needed.

I did feel they went a bit ott with the dlc. It’s a shame because the game sounds great.

that’s why it’s always best to wait for the PC version. just let the guinea pigs test it first so we can get a flawless product. muhuahahaha!!!!

There was a similar issue with another game this past week. Most copies of Deus Ex from UK retailer zavvi/thehut were unrecognised on Steam.

I just wonder why there’s no TF2 hats on the steam pre-order. ;)
