Civilization V Mobile out now

A surprise addition to your portable gaming catalogue with the launch of Civilization V Mobile.

2K revealed the Gameloft-developed and published title on the official Civilization V site last week.

The game is played from a top-down perspective, like the full version’s strategic view, but is fully animated rather than board-game like. At first glanc,e it seems to boast most of the features of the full game.

Designed for “feature phones”, Civ V Mobile is available on a variety of mobile platforms beyond the usual smartphone suspects.

There’s no iDevice option, interestingly, but the App Store has hosted a version of the franchise for some time, in the form of Civilization Revolution.
