Final Fantasy Versus XIII a no show for TGS 2011
Square Enix’s Tetsuya Nomura has said the distrubingly vaprous Final Fantasy Versus XIII will not make an appearance at the Tokyo Game Show in September.

According to Andriasang‘s usual sources, the latest issue of Dengeki contains an interview with the producer in which he states a date has been set for the game’s next showing – but it won’t be at the TGS.
Square Enix has historically decried showings but made small reveals anyway, so there may still be hope for something in September. We’ll be in attendance to see or not see as it unfolds – or not.
Nomura also teased some major voice actor reveals for upcoming PSP release Final Fantasy Type-0, and made some comments about Kingdom Hearts 3D which were carefully blanked. Aww.
Final Fantasy Versus XIII is expected on PlayStation 3 and possibly Xbox 360 … one day. Maybe.

SHOCK!
I think I’d have been more surprised if it was there.

Its vaporware. I bet the projects been scrapped and restarted at least 10 times already.

How can Square have fallen so far. I have no expectation of their Japanese arm, now.
“usual early leak sources”, meaning no verifiable source. What did Square-Enix say in response to a request to clarify the information, or explain the current status of the game?

Indeed, if it wasn’t for Eidos they’d be pretty much out of the game. In the West, at least.

I guess you should stop a bit for vaporware or “They are doomed”.
I think they want to concentrate now on the FFXIII-2 marketing now and FFXIII Versus for the next year.
But i agree, it’s too fucking long to wait for this game. It was announced too early.

Final Fantasy vs XIII = Duke Nukem Forever. They should just rename it Final Fantasy XV.

They should just rename it to Final Fantasy Forever XIII or FFF XIII.

They are not even in production with Versus so why would they show what is essentially the digital prototype.
