Third Assassin’s Creed teaser trailer actually contains information
Not to say the others didn’t, but this is information you can extract with your eyeballs and not some sort of Da Vinci Code AR game shenanigans.

The number sequence “24.06.1459″ suggests a date, the anniversary of which is coming up next month – well after E3. A quick search reveals nothing of immediate historical note on that day. Assassin’s Creed II and Brotherhood took place in the 1400′s.
The building seen in the background is the Hagia Sophia, in Istanbul. Again, a cursory glance turns up no particular significance for that date related to the famous landmark.
The new video is heavily reminiscent of the first one, but less symbol-ridden than the second.
Ubisoft is expected to launch a new Assassin’s Creed title by the end of the year, strongly suspected to be called “Revelations“.
Thanks, Kotaku.

But what is so special about Revelations taking place in Istanbul?

@3 It means there might be a chance we don’t play as a character we’ve played as before!

Yo dawg, your date is wrong…
24.06.1549 is the real deal and its birth date of Ezio…

Uhh, I’ve updated the article so it actually, you know, contains the video. Apparently I am incapable of remembering to paste in the embed code *facepalm*

@10 datass is right it is ezio’s birthday i checked the AC wiki, so what that means i don’t know maybe the game will take place in istanbul which would be cool, though i have sneaking feeling that this game some how be another ezio game

In the first trailer there were an Arabic letters written (الطاير ابن لا أحد)
And that means Tayer in the son of none. and the building in the back looks similar to this

^ this building is a museum in Istanbul. Also, there is a symbol looks similar to this

^ That is the Solomon’s signature. Solomon is one of the greatest leaders in the world in history.
sorry for my bad English

So it sounds like this is going to be another ‘quick fix’ remix of AC2, then? That’s not entirely disappointing, but I had kind of been hoping that they’d secretly been working on proper AC3 in the background while they worked on Brotherhood.

They will probably drag out the series for as long as they can before AC3.

“Ezio Auditore da Firenze was born in Florence on June 24, 1459 AD.” Straight from the Assassin’s Creed Wiki.
