Sony stock rises in wake of outage apology press conference

Sony stock has bounced back following the company's PSNgate press conference.

Reuters reports Sony's shares rose two percent to ¥2,304 early this morning.

News of the PlayStation Network's imminent return, plus an incentive package to woo back alienated consumers, is correlated with the price increase.

The PlayStation Network went down on April 16 following hacker activity. User details, including credit card information, were compromised, although no evidence has been found that data was taken.
