Fable III PC to sim-ship on GfWM and Steam
Microsoft said today that the PC version of Fable III will be available on Steam at launch.
The game will hit both Steam and Games for Games for Windows Martketplace on May 20.
Those who pre-order through Games for Windows Marketplace will receive Fable: Lost Chapters – the start of the Fable saga – for free.
If you buy it on Steam, you’ll get the “Rebel’s Weapon & Tattoo Pack, a collection of four exclusive weapons and five exclusive tattoo sets to customize their rebel hero.”
The game’s the same as the 360 version, but features a Hardcore mode and 3D functionality, and you can pre-order starting today.
It originally released for 360 late last year.

MS publishing a game available for Steam? D:
That’s almost as odd as Halo 4 being on a PlayStation console.
Maybe it’s just Microsoft’s way of conceding defeat for PC digital distribution.

“sim-ship”…what a cool word.
I’ve never heard that before.

That doesn’t make much sense at all. Unless this is paving the way for GFWL and GFWM going away.

Great news that it’s coming to Steam also.
EDIT: Just took a look at Steam, and read this about Fable 3… SecuROMâ„¢ (5 activations per month)

It’s interesting that this is the first Microsoft-published game to be released on Steam, but it still includes GFWL. *barf*
