Insomniac: NGP titles "not something we would develop in-house"

Insomniac has said it has no intention of developing titles for NGP, saying it's to maintain its focus on PS3 and Xbox 360.

Speaking at a community day in LA yesterday, community manager James Stevenson said the developer would "support Sony" in helping the development of games, but nothing more, saying "it's probably not something we would develop in-house."

A Resistance title is in development for the system, but work has been outsourced to PlayStation Move Heroes developer Nihilistic Software.

Insomniac itself is working on Resistance 3 in Burbank, Callifornia, as well as Ratchet & Clank: All4One at its new Carolina studio for Sony.

It's also working on an unknown new IP for PS3 and 360, to be published by EA Partners.

NGP is due by the end of the year in Japan.
