Duke Nukem: Critical Mass due in April

Apogee has put a date on Duke Nukem: Critical Mass. Will wonders never cease?

The publisher tweeted that the DS version of Critical Mass will release in Europe on April 8, after several delays.

As is franchise tradition, Critical Mass has been in development for quite some time - nearly three years, now - and is the first of a planned trilogy originally intended for DS and PSP.

Critical Mass was widely reported to have been canceled after developer Frontline Studios was taken off the project, among some confusion as to whether 3D Realms had revoked the license during its fold.

Apogee has now confirmed that it still holds the license agreement, "not some third party work for hire developer".

Thanks, Joystiq.
