Capcom blanks Street Fighter X Tekken Captivate “confirmation”
“We have not announced our Captivate line-up, and cannot confirm the presence of any particular games.”

Capcom has this morning sought to clarify a CVG report with the headline, “Street Fighter X Tekken confirmed for Captivate in April,” saying no such confirmation has been made.
The story arose from a post from producer Yoshi Ono on Twipple, with a shot of a game being played subbed by the caption, “We’re doing our best to keep up our spirits! We’re busy preparing for CAPTIVATE 2011 as CAPCOM private event.”
Capcom warned today that the post should not be seen as an announcement.
“We have not announced our Captivate line-up, and cannot confirm the presence of any particular games,” Capcom told VG247 this morning.
The image Ono published is clearly one of the Namco-Capcom collab being played, with Jin Kazama and Ryu facing off at the start of a bout.
Tekken X Street Fighter and Street Fighter X Tekken were announced at San Diego Comic-Con in July 2010. Neither game has a release date.
Captivate takes place in April this year.

why can’t they just use the MT Frame work engine for this game instead of the ugly engine used for SF4.

Shitty game is still shitty in sheep clothing. The Namco vs Capcom one will be millions of times better than this shit engine of SF4.

Oh man, these two games are going to create some much fanboy rivalry. I can’t wait to see it. It’ll be hilarious to watch, if nothing else.
Anyway, we all know Street Fighter is the superior of the two. *wink wink*
