It also announced that 20 titles from the company will come within six months of Play’s release. 50 titles overall have been promised overall from various publishers.

Two titles, Star Battalion and Asphalt 6 Adrenaline, will come preloaded onto the phone. The eight other additional games include:

  • Assassin’s Creed
  • Uno
  • Let’s Golf! 2
  • Spider-Man: Total Mayhem
  • Modern Combat: Black Pegasus
  • Real Football 2011
  • Brothers in Arms 2
  • Splinter Cell Conviction

There’s two videos of Star Battalion and Asphalt 6 Adrenaline.

Thanks, Joysitq.

Maybe Sony has just possibly started a revolution in mobile gaming, with dual analog pads & real buttons we can easily play full 3D games on mobile phones, it appears as Sony has openly acknowledged that in the future, dedicated portable devices will be dead, maybe it won’t be next gen, or the gen after, but it will happen & Sony sure has their ass covered, when that happens Nintendo has the choice to evolve & get with the times (LOL! @ the thought of a Nintendo-phone) or do a Sega & develop games for other devices, Mario Galaxy & Pokemon JRPGs legitimately available on phones, yes please!
Although I couldn’t imagine all phones coming with built in controls (excluding touch screen of course) but I can imagine add-on accessories becoming widely available.

@2, In mobile phone gaming, it’s quite possible, most have been 2D side scrollers, just saying that physical controls are quite possibly the very thing the mobile gaming industry needs, mobile phones with add-on(separate from the phone itself) controls could be the future of portable gaming… Or are you happy with the touch controls on your iPhone? If you could get high quality gaming on your phone, would you rather use the screen or seperete controls?

This is just the first process, give it a couple years & we’ll have phones as powerful as the NGP, but with just a touch screen, gaming won’t be an easy process, but with a simple add on controller bundled with your next gen iPhone 5, Win8 or Android, it could very well replace portable consoles all together, dedicated portables will die sooner or later, but for now the NGP looks F’N sweet!
