Dragon Age II goes gold, watch today’s developer chat with Mike Laidlaw

Friday, 11th February 2011 22:28 GMT By Stephany Nunneley

Dragon Age II is golden folks. It was just announced as being so. And, a video with 55 minutes of footage was also released from a live chat featuring the game’s lead designer, Mike Laidlaw.

What else is there to say, other than grab a tankard of mead, the nearest saucy wench you can pull into your lap, and head on over to RPS and have a watch.

Dragon Age II releases on March 8 in the US and March 11 in the UK for PS3, 360 and PC.

    55 minutes! That’s ridiculous!

    Gold?! Seriously?

They’ve shown next to nothing of the game, and suddenly it’s done?

My spider sense is telling me it shouldn’t be a first day purchase.

You obviously have been living under a rock. They just did a demo for the game today with live chat and been trickling info all week.

I watched the whole video and i’m really liking what i see. Yes it’s strange that they haven’t shown this off as much as they would with Mass Effect, but it IS looking really good.

I might just buy it this march.

@3 Right, lots of teasers with a lot of prerendered flash, but little in the way of actual substance.

Doing a demo like that is all well and good, but I’m surprised they haven’t shown the actual game off sooner.

And why would they? Wouldn’t you want to demo the game when its the build thats closest to the release build? Its not like Bioware is the only one to do that.

this is the most important thing to know about Dragon Age II
    showing anything else is pointless

What the hell are you guys talking about? There’s been a crap tonne of gameplay trailers and vignettes released for this game over the last few months.

Yeah, I know, but I said that video is the most important video to see because it shows that they didn’t screw the PC version as someone cried months ago.
