Almost half of DC Universe Online players are on the PSN
Sony has revealed that 45% of those playing DC Universe Online are doing so from their PlayStation 3.
DC Universe Online game designher Chris Cao shared the figures with Kotaku.
“PS3 gamers tend to play more, but their session lengths are shorter,” he said.
“The average PS3 session is one to one and a half hours, maybe two hours. The typical PC session is usually two to three hours.”
Another interesting snippet from SOE’s collected statistics suggests players aren’t taking advantage of their higher-level characters’ skills and items, even once they hit the level cap.
Raptre recently outed a significant overlap between DCUO and World of Warcraft players.

impossible! MMO is meant to be on PC.
unless people are busy gang banging in Azeroth or playing free MMO

DCUO isn’t an MMO in the traditional sense of the word. It’s an action game you can play online with lots of people, made for the console.

@2 it is a MMO, MMO means a Massively Multilayer Online game. And DC universe has that… MMOs can be racing, RTS, FPS, etc, it does not have to be a Role Playing game specifically.

How is the game btw? I had a preorder but got sucked into WoW when cataclysm came out lol. I wonder if there’s any way to try a trial for the game.

This isn’t very surprising, given that it’s the only MMO for the PS3 and actually seems to be pretty competent.
How many people are actually playing, though? Do we have any figures?

chapions online is a better action mmo. The only thing dc online has us stiry. I would say dc online is poor man mmmo
