UK retailers peg Last Guardian for early October

lastguardian

According to listings made by several retailers, Sony’s setting up an October release for The Last Guardian.

Outlets like The Hut, ASDA, Tesco, Woolworths and Zaavi have all mentioned an October 7 release date for the Team ICO title.

More specialist outlets like GAME, Play, Amazon and HMV have all remained dateless.

SCEE’s refused to comment on it, telling EG it’s yet to announce a date for the game.

The only timeline given for the game is that it’ll release this “Holiday 2011″, as announced at Tokyo Game Show last September.

I sure hope this is true. That would mean one great Sony title for each of the months of the autumn.

The game could be out on store shelves and SCEE still wouldn’t fucking know.

I smell early 2012, it has to it will NEVER survive in a Q4 environment; especially this year.

I agree, it would be far better placed in a similar slot to the one Killzone 3′s getting this year.

I was thinking this was 2012 title as well. Have we even got a release date for ICO/SOTC HD collection yet?
