PS Phone sized-up in new photos

Sunday, 9th January 2011 09:53 GMT By Joe Anderson

Yet more pictures of the PS Phone have been published, this time comparing the device to numerous others, such as the PSP itself, DS and a handful of mobile phones.

According to Engadget, the information written in the article is practically the same as previously revealed, meaning that we are still none the wiser about the mysterious PlayStation Pocket system and how it’ll work.

The pictures, at least, most certainly are new, and give you a good idea of how the device sizes up to its competition.

You can check out the new pics below courtesy of tgbus.

The PlayStation Phone is still unannounced.

Btw, IT168 says the phone is called Sony Ericsson R800i Xperia Play, and tgbus says it’ll probably be released in March.

You should stop calling it “PS Phone”, as its name is Xperia Play… because some fanboys believe this is the substitute of the PSP 2.

@4, Because it hasn’t been OFFICIALLY confirmed as Xperia Play.

Sony must be one of the worst companies out there for keeping secrets, Keep your bitches in line Mr. Man.

Why can’t the slide-out control-panel have a black (or at least dark) background like the PSPgo?
Sony’s design of PSP related products is getting uglier with every iteration. The original PSP was such a beautiful device.

IMO the whole colour scheme should be in sync, almost always looks prettier.

i kind of like it but agree with the color scheme…they hopefully change that. still i can´t help: i have a feeling it will turn out to be trash. loved the launch psp, slim was ok, go i hated…this really looks like a pspgophone. check your content pricing and your extremely poorly designed psn store in general sony. what about pricing of the unit? any rumors yet? would really be interested in a mobile phone with true gaming potential. hate the touch crap for gaming. it just fails for real (or non casual) games almost every time…
