Third zombie-related VGA teaser image looks Prototype-related

Thursday, 2nd December 2010 16:43 GMT By Stephany Nunneley

zombieteaser3

A third VGA zombie-related teaser has shown up, and it’s looking more like the Activision teaser Murder Your Maker, a sequel to the 2009 open-world superhero game Prototype.

“We’re here to help” reads the image, along with: “Don’t ever leave the green zone!”, and “3 of 3.”

The picture also shows a solider holding a little one’s hand.

The first image released had the internet thinking it was Left 4 Dead related. Image 2 had it thinking it was a Resident Evil game.

Come December 11, we’ll know for certain once the VGAs go live.

Thanks, Eurogamer.

Loved [Prototype] even more so than inFamous.

@3 I;m pretty sure the only assets even related to resident Evil were they international standards Biohazard signs…

    Three pictures, three differen’t games.

I’d hate to guess, but I sure do hope it is Prototype. If that game was finished it could’ve been one of the finest sandboxers ever.

Given that the bottom left actually says “Murder your Maker”, the above is obviously an Activision IP. No Resident Evil, no L4D.

@4 – nope, the first pic with the zombies is lifted directly from resident evil

The question here is if the 3 pics are related or not…hmmm….

The finest superhero sanboxes ever. There is already one and it’s called inFamous.

Prototype was good, but it lacked with: Story, Graphics (Prototype had Ps2 graphics at best), mission variety.

but killing everyone with different style of moves was excellent.

“murder your maker”= kill the zombie/vampire/other that transformed you into a zombie/vampire/other?

@AHA, we all know that you don’t like inFamous because there is a character without hair. Seriously. Setting that you don’t like does not make it a bad game.

@8 I haven’t played inFamous. You’re right though, the tech did feel very old and the story was full of holes, but it wouldn’t take a lot to fix that story.

Infection zombie plots are a dime a dozen, and it did have some interesting cutscenes strewn across the place, a bit like World in Conflict. I enjoyed that a lot. It did have a lot of interesting mechanics as well with the whole consumption thing.

@12 – actually by this point i’m jst taking the piss abit and as for infamous 2 yes i am annoyed they changed cole back but i am keeping my eyes cautiously on it as it looks better than the original.

My main problem with infamous itself is simply that i thought it was a BAD game surprisingly enough =O

@AHA, you are a good guy, but i always see you judging games by it’s setting and not by quality.

For example i don’t like music genre and Rock Band 3 because… Well… I don’t like music genre games and stupid peripherals, but for sake. It is a quality game and it’s brilliant by what it is. Just not my thing.

inFamous 1 was a very good game. Had very good story, good characters, good shooting mechanics. Awesome music. Detailed city. Combat lacked a little bit and side missions were a little bit repetetive in the end. But everything else was damn fine.

Second however looks my personal GOTY of the next year. surprisingly it’s on console.

@DSB, if Prototype devs will fix any of these problems then they will take the crown with Infamous together.

Prototype had absolutely brilliant combat. I still remember these exciting moves and having an opportunity to sit in the helicopter or tank and set a total destruction :D

i cant say i tihnk i judge games by setting O_o

plus if tht were the case i wouldn’t have my eye on the sequel. I admitted that i will keep an eye on infamous 2 cos i think it looks better than the first.

For me the first infamous was a bit like assassin’s creed for everyone else; unbelievably repetitive without ever getting interesting until the last act of the story. That’s just how i felt about it.

Prototype was an amazing game. Can’t wait for this one (if it is prototype!)

Hated infamous, but when I saw the second at the EG expo it looked a lot better than the first, very, very detailed graphics.

    Disliked Prototype entirely.

It was a misogynistic gore fest, with a schizophrenic protagonist and a dull story to boot. The gameplay mechanics were clunky and the power wheel was overloaded with unnecessary junk. Misson’s were repeatative and the graphics ugly.

    HATED, HATED, HATED that game.

There was a lot of powers in PT, maybe a bit too many for the pads to handle, (I remember seeing some like holding RT and pressing B and X and pushing up on the pad at the same time) but on the PC the buttons were better split between the hands with the KB+M, so it played better, plus ran and looked better.

@20, i had no problem with the powers on the PS3, wish there were more infact, like storing certain appearances or more full body morphs, the armour looked cool, but i’d like more than that.

Wasn’t there some talk about a kid prodigy or other uber mutant at the end of Prototype? This kid could be related to that if it is indeed a Prototype 2 tease.

yep, prototype did def leave enough for a sequel :)

Yes obviously it is the activision game that has the murder your maker teaser site like 5 said, i have no idea what it is since it went from left 4 dead to resident evil to prototype 2, whatever it is it better be good lol

@2 love the comment bro…exactly how i feel

I’m actually hoping it’s a new IP though, but my best guess would also be Prototype 2.

it certainly is the “murder your maker”-game teased by activision cause when you go to http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2010-12-02-third-vga-zombie-teaser-spotted and enlarge the picture you see the words “murder your maker” on the bottom left hand corner of the screenshot.
so i think all the 3 screens are related to this “murder your maker”-thing.
wether it will be prototype or some other game, it’ll be good i guess ;)
