THQ: Saints Row movie to be announced next month

THQ CEO Brian Farrell has told Gama that the movie tie-in for Saints Row will be formally announced next month.
The movie is set to release alongside Saints Row 3, which is set to launch before March 2012.
That release window for the movie, however, now appears to be in limbo.
“I’m not going to comment on their timing,” he says. “I can’t speak for the people in Hollywood. [But] this builds our brand at no cost to us.”
Saints Row 3 will get its first look at the Spike Video Game Awards next month.

Interested, but most video game based movies never make it, if they do, they’re often garbage, wonder which film production company THQ is using for this movie.

Just make the third game already. I’m anxious to add those trophies to my PSN profile.
As for the movie – it’s a bad idea here. Main character in SR2 is fully customizable – it’s a man/woman/transgender freak who’s appearance is chosen by player. You can’t make a proper movie based on this game.
