Bungie has announced over its blog campaign matchmaking playlists will be implemented into Halo: Reach on October 19 along with a rank cap added sometime in the near future.

Bungie also said it hopes to “roll out a dedicated Infection and Snipers playlist” along with some other changes. With the rank cap increased, credits earned now beyond the Lt. Col. Grade C cap will count towards the new level when it is added in.

Likely, this will account for a slew of automatic rank increases for players the day of patch.

This week’s Bungie Update is rather long and detailed, so you better mosey on over and have a look at it if you play it.

Thanks, jdawg.

Nahh dont think so but its just more fun if you level up of course. Campaign matchmaking – so cool. I like that they put a snipers playlist on. This mode is chosen far too often. I like to play snipers as well once in a while on a special map but i never understood the strange obsession many gamers seem to have with sniper rifles. Same with sniperfight and rocketfight. Though rocketfight is probably picked because of easy credits and challenge completions. All awesome modes but picked too often. I prefer a “classic” firefight match most of the time and once in a while a rocketfight not vice versa…
