Shenmue Town announced for Japan

Yes, there is a new Shenmue. No, it’s not Shenmue 3. Am cry.
Shenmue Town has been announced overnight for Japan, and will be available for Yahoo! Japan via social network Mobage-town this winter.
The press release claims this will be the third Shenmue game, but if we were betting people, don’t expect a finale then and there with Shenmue Town.
It’s also been confirmed Atlus will release a Mobage-town version of Persona 3.
Thanks, Kotaku.

The amount of money Sega is willing to put into anything other then a proper sequel to Shenmue is amazing.

@1 You really sure that there is a big demand for it after the decade and poor Shenmue sales?
If they will invest something on this, they first need to test the ground with small Shenmue title and see if there is demand for it.

i swear they are fucked in the head. Why cant they release it on ps3/xbox360, and then do shenmue 3…. And erthazus, all they need to do is produce a quality title, and people will buy it, and some marketing

Just when the Shenmue fans thought things couldn’t get any worse… they do!

At a certain point “testing the water” just becomes: spamming out shit titles to destory what ever brand quality was left.

If they some money they should release it on PSN or something. So people who didn’t bother with dreamcast can understand all the fuss about this.
