Child of Eden supports standard controllers

childofedenlogo

Tetsuya Mizuguchi has said that Kinect’s optional only when playing Child of Eden.

Announced at E3 during Ubisoft’s press conference, Mizuguchi demonstrated the game using Kinect, but has told Eurogamer that normal PS3 and 360 controllers are also supported.

Good to know, in case you can’t be bothered with motion controllers.

Eurogamer also has a preview of the game up on its site that you should checkĀ  out.

Move support for the title has yet to be decided.

No date yet either.

Is this definitely coming to PS3 with MOVE support?

A (spiritual) successor to Rez is all gravy to me, but playing in on Kinect seemed awkward and inaccurate.

MOVE support hasn’t been confirmed yet but i’d expect it too! This game is looking fantastic one of the few games that can be played with Kinect that i’m actually looking forward to playing with the device!

EDIT – Ahh here you go found this on Kotaku, According to Ubisoft, “We are considering Move compatibility, but at this time Child of Eden works with the standard controller for both the Xbox 360 and PS3, as well as Microsoft’s Kinect.”

@2: I posted a comment about the “Kin” name when it was just announced. So yeah they named it after their mobile phones: Kin one and Kin two
