Plants vs Zombies possibly getting retail release

Plants vs Zombies is on its way to getting a retail release, if a retail listing from Gamefly is correct.
A recent listing for the PopCap title from the online rental service shows it might be on its way to a shelf near you soon for Xbox 360 on September 16.
The game was released last summer for PC, iPhone, iPad and Xbox Live Arcade.
Thanks, superannuation.

I want a sequel. A big juicy sequel. First game was brilliant.

Retail? really! I suppose they sell peggle on DS for 20 pounds+
i just think its funny how wildly different their pricing is for the same game on different consoles.
If this is true, they’ll probably charge 25quid for the same game as the 1.59 ipod app (which my girlfreind played for 2 hours straight last night)

I can’t imagine for a second that this will ever make it to the 360 in disc form. It’ll either be an XBLA game or nothing.
Of course, the PC/Mac version made it to retail ages ago. Could that be the confusion?

“The game was released last summer for PC, iPhone, iPad and Xbox Live Arcade.”
You mean ‘announced’ not ‘released’.

wishdokta: no, he meant released.
But it also got a retail release last year, at least in the UK. Check Focus Multimedia. I bought it from Play.com.

Ok, the Xbox 360-version isn’t out yet, so the wording in the article was a bit poor.

sorry to be pedantic, but isn’t that a picture of Peggle?

@Old MacDonald
Aye, am looking forward for a XBLA release. I just wonder how they’re gonna adapt its mechanics which were great to me in the PC version.
