sony3d

Sony has announced that its 3D firmware update scheduled for June, doesn't make PS3 compatible with upcoming 3D Blu-ray films.

It's just to get the console ready for the release of 3D games, which were announced as part of a deal with Sony's 3D Bravia TV sets.

Here's the games in case you missed 'em: Wipeout HD, Motorstorm Pacific Rift, PAIN and Super Stardust HD.

According to TechRadar, PS3 will eventually get 3D Blu-ray compatibility through another firmware update later in the year.
