GTA IV sells 15 million, 3 million BioShock 2 units sold

Take Two’s just announced its sold over 15 million copies of Grand Theft Auto IV LtD.
BioShock 2 has sold 3 million units since its release last month with lifetime franchise sales sitting at around 7 million.
It comes from the company’s Q1 financials.
Grand Theft Auto IV launched on Tuesday, April 28 2008 in a worldwide launch for PS3 and 360, before a PC version was launched later the same year.
The game’s seen two DLC episodes, The Lost and Damned and The Ballad of Gay Tony, which were previously exclusive to Xbox 360, but is coming to PlayStation 3 and Games for Windows later this month.
BioShock 2, meanwhile, only released last month for PS3, 360 and PC.
The first DLC is due to release sometime this month.
During T2′s financial call to investors, CEO Ben Feder revealed that the original BioShock has sold 4 million units sold with the entire series selling 7 million units combined so far.
“We’ve seen an impact on our BioShock back catalog as a result of BioShock 2,” said Feder, and we are pleased with that.”
The pre-order deals with the BioShock 2 four-pack (with four copies of BioShock) on Steam seemed to help too, it was revealed.
Feder declined to comment on unannounced DLC plans or financial expectations for the upcoming added content, but did say the company remains optimistic, saying that DLC provides a value to customers, and that is what they “like and want.”
Sounds good to us.

Bioshock 2 shipped 3 millions. Real sold – Xbox 360 – about 800k – 1 million, PS3 – 500k-700k, and PC unknown but i suppose max 200k
Other 1-1,5 millions lie on the shelves unnecessary because many downloaded it from torrent for PC

It would have been impossible for Bioshock 2 to surpass the sense of wonder of the first chapter, being a sequel, but its quality and value is out of discussion. So, it actually DOES deserve this figures, and will probably do better than that.
