PoP: The Forgotten Sands hits 360 and PS3 same day as Wii

Yesterday, when Ubisoft announced details for the Wii version of Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands, it was revealed that the title would land on the Nintendo system May 18 and 20 in the US and Europe, respectively.
We were sure this meant the PS3 and Xbox 360 version would hit the same day as well, but we asked Ubisoft just to be sure.
Turns out that is indeed the case.
“Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands will also be releasing the X360 and PS3 versions on May 18 and May 20,” a Ubisoft rep told us.
Great to know we assumed correctly. Still, it’s always better to be safe than sorry.
The game was announced back in November.

Already? In May? And yet they still haven’t showed ANY gameplay video. I dunno, but I feel this is going to be a little rushed.

It’s a movie tie in so I am spectical instantly and the absence of gamplay aswell doesn’t help

Oh god I’m not sure if my heart can take two weak PoP games in a row. They need to bring Jordan Mechner back on board, he’s the only person that can turn out consistently superb PoP games.

I remember playing PoP:SoT and it pissed me the fuck off when ever there was combat, and 2nd and 3rd ones were just shit. PoP 2008 was awesome though, nice and relaxing.

No way! Two Thrones was way better than PoP ’08, IMHO.
Even though the level set-up and premise were both marvellous, the platforming bits in PoP ’08 required no skill, which was *such* a let down for the franchise.

Sands of Time > Warrior Within > PoP ’08 > Two Thrones
Warrior Within got a bum rap because it was a bit emo.

Awesomeeeeee, just incredibly surprised how little they’ve shown from this game. BUT i am still taking it easy with going all crazy about that its coming soon…cause look at what they did with Splinter Cell, when it was only two months from it’s oficial February release.
Didn’t they say how long this one has been in development? If it was right after the previous POP…i really don’t think that sounds like it’s rushed
. A year and six months…basically, if that’s the case. I guess they just don’t want to reveal too much about this one…keep it all a surprise.
