Awesome Splinter Cell Conviction movies shoot out of X10

splintercell2

Hit the break for four direct-feed videos of the excellent-lookikng Splinter Cell Conviction. There’s plenty to see here, and, obviously, spoilers.

The first two show what looks to be footage from the beginning of the game, with Sam talking to his daughter about seeing things in the dark then protecting his family from an attack on his house.

The second sees an opening training sequence. Sam’s sitting in a town square at a cafe and is told to leave as he’s about to be killed. This shows off the game’s direction-giving, with notices plastered on cover, and so on. Looks very cool.

The third video features a montage of gameplay from the same early sections, including the now-infamous toilet interrogation scene.

The fourth one shows familiar gameplay with Sam taking out guards and moving through dark buildings. Apparently this is co-op.

It really does look sharp. Splinter Cell Conviction releases on April 16 in the UK.

Thanks AGB and IGN.

Hmm, I don’t see any video that’s 20 minutes long?

Edit:
“And finally, there’s the first 20 minutes, unedited. Only for the brave.”
Or you mean that in total there is 20 minutes, however I read that there will be another video that’s 20 minutes long… But counting the length of the videos and I get around 9 minutes.

Whoops, sorry. I thought that 1UP vid was 20 minutes long. I’ll delete it.

Looks goooood

Dialogue’s a bit hammy and i’m worried that the new mechanics (mark and execute, cover to cover and last known position) will make things too easy.

But other than that i’m loving the cinematic style and it should be a blast to play!

Couple of things.

Sam does not look like Sam, and he’s clealy dyed his hair, and now his voice doesn’t match his face. Not to mention the HORRIBLE lip synching.

I still hate the Double Agent civilian like vibe. And Grimm being hot is bad, and so is all the dialogue.

However, outside of those awful thigns, which are to do with my lvoe of the series, it looks like a fun game.
