Dead Rising 2 confirmed for X10

Capcom’s confirmed it’s bringing Dead Rising 2 to X10 in San Francisco this Thursday.
The Blue Castle Games-developed zombie title will one of Capcom’s big headliners at the Microsoft event this week, alongside Lost Planet 2.
Here’s the tweet from the firm:
“We’ll have new hotness (or decomposing hotness) on display for Dead Rising 2 and Lost Planet 2 at X10 on Thursday.“
Capcom confirmed a couple of weeks back Lost Planet 2 will get a worldwide release on May 18, while Dead Rising 2 will get a release this year.
Good stuff. Stay tuned for Thursday when the sky starts to fall from the Terra Event Center.

That’s interesting, I was thinking X10 would be pretty much entirely about first-party stuff.
What time does it kick off, Johnny? Any idea?

To be honest, I don’t know.
I do know it is a four hour event, and with the NPD due the same day, my guess is it would have to start at midday PST (3pm EST for Steph/8pm GMT for myself/9pm CET for Pat) and then end just as the NPD comes in, which is about 11:30 GMT.
So my money’s on it between midday and 4pm PST.

They better not mess up the Dead Rising series. The first one was a master piece. I played it a half a dozen times to see the different endings and get all [but one] of the achievements. I never understood why Capcom let the developers that made The BIGS create this game, or why they had to tack on a multiplayer component. I’ve got my fingers crossed, but I’m not holding my breath for this one.

I think calling Dead Rising a masterpiece is a bit of a stretch… but it was brilliant in It’s jankIness
