US Yakuza 3 box art revealed by GameFly

The US box art for Yakuza 3 has been revealed by game rental service GameFly.
Pictured in full below, it differs greatly from is Japanese counterpart with no reference to smoking anywhere.
In the US, smoking is on-par with drinking and driving and being rude to old ladies, apparently.
SEGA’s to release the game on PS3 in March, and was confirmed to contain Japanese voiceovers with English subtitles.

Ooohh, the US has been short changed on that one. Surely it’s change for the sake of change, the Japanese one was perfect, and the US one is just a shit rehash of it.

That’s one BAD box art, alright! That has to be up there amongst the worst. Even PS2 budget publisher rehashes don’t end up regaled in THAT on their way to retail. Damn!

japanese one is way cooler. i smoke almost a pack a day, not that im proud, but the monochrome, city in the back, and red letters are much kewler looking then a super upclose, can’t even fit whole face on the cover ugly red-on-red cover.
