Can’t believe my card is almost minimum specs….

    :(

Wow, that was such a waste. It’s why I will never bother with PC gaming.

    7800GTX is now minimum.

And then they will complain that PC sales were low. Its alot of bollocks really, the BF series owes it success to the PC format and here we are, some months later STILL waiting for 1943.

For most Battlefield gamers I think the specs will be fine

Buying a PC at reccomended spec just to play this game is going to cost you about £400 for the system, plus about £140-160 for the GTX 260.

That’s if you already have a monitor.

the GTX260 is only recommended. Besides, ATi offer better cards at alot cheaper prices, so people can always upgrade. Its a fact of life of PC gaming, so the majority are used to that.

What do you mean they are ok, they are more needy that Crysis!

Most PC games had started to cool down on required specs but this is probably the most demanding game I’ve seen in terms of power.

Well, at least Battlefield 1943 must include some serious improvements since it was only 560 megs on a console.

@ Hakkiz -thats because the PC isnt limited like the console version. More hard drive space, better graphics, better everything.

Crysis came out at a time when Vista was new, as was the whole new dual core phase. Most will have upgraded by now so the specs arent that much of a worry.

Besides, if someone buys a pc from PC world, they deserve to be stuck with lame games like the Sims 1

Hunam! graphics r kick ass, sound is, actually there r no words to describe how good the sound is and the world (as in the maps) is simply ginormeus. is that even a word? ;p anyways, these r the reasons why i think the sys reqs r ok. cheers. :)

Dunno what you guys have been eating but these are pretty reasonable specs. If you got a PC lower than these minimum specs then you haven’t been changing your machine for more than three years or so. There were even games of last year which had the same minimum requirements.

My only fear is that PC specs usually aren’t indicative of a solid framerate, especially not when we’re talking about Dice. The BF2 engine was pure horror from every point of view imaginable so Frostbite hopefully improves that.
