Namco wants Tekken 6 "to be available to everybody"

Namco PR chap Lee Kirton's said the reason for bringing Tekken 6 to 360 is to allow the game to be enjoyed across the board.

"Namco Bandai wants this title to be available to everybody," he said, speaking in the video you can find after the break.

"We want everyone to experience it. This is the first time that Tekken's moved away from the PlayStation format. It's no longer exclusive to Sony, so it is on Xbox 360... The install base for both machines is pretty huge, and we have to make it available to everybody now.

"We can't just take it down the exclusive route."

Watch the movie. It's shot from the recent Tekken Tournament at HMV in London. The game's out today, and is catching good scores, as you can see here.
