Halo Waypoint dropping on November 5

Halo fanatics rejoice! Now, in addition to your Master Chief cat helmet, Cortana action figure, Halo: Fall of Reach book, and Halo-themed Slurpee cup, you’ll soon be able to bring some Halo action to your Xbox 360. Said the Halo Waypoint Twitter feed:
“Nov 5. Mark it on your calendar. That’s when you will get your hands (or controllers) on Halo Waypoint.”
Hands or controllers? Is this a hint that Project Natal’s also coming out on November 5, and will be compatible with Waypoint? Hey, we can dream, can’t we?

That’s a big dream there Nathan. Wishful thinking at its finest.

IT was clearly a joke, not a hint at Natal.
Also, Halo Waypoint, Halo ODST, Halo Reach. This is fucking ridiculous.

It’s basically going to be a new portal on Xbox Live which will act as an official news / information resource for the Halo franchise.

No more so than the milking of Sonic or Mario. Master Chief is, for all intents and purposes, the Xbox mascot.
But that said, the Waypoint isn’t even a game, and we’ll be lucky if we see Reach before the end of 2010, so compared to Mario, Sonic, Final Fantasy, Star Wars, or many other franchises I can think of, it’s pretty humble milking in comparison.

@chicken: Waypoint’s an aggregate for pretty much everything even a bit related to Halo. Trailers, episodes of “Halo Legends,” podcasts – you name it. It’ll be downloadable on Xbox Live. Go here if you’d like to know more: http://www.vg247.com/2009/07/25/halo-waypoint-gets-a-bit-more-detailed/

[sigh] Ignore this. I posted twice, apparently. Somehow. Black magic.
Why is there no delete button!?

I don’t like Mario or Sonic for that particular reason, too.
